Business Book Recommendations from LinkedIn Feed

I came across three business book recommendations on LinkedIn, and I have to say, they were absolutely spot on:

Extreme Ownership:
A fascinating backstory of the Iraq War, especially if you’ve ever wondered how a special operations unit (in this case, the US Navy SEALs) actually operates. The title of the book captures its core message: Extreme Ownership. Building on that, the book explains several strategies and ways of thinking used by the SEALs and applies them to business. Ownership is something you can internalize, whether you’re an employee, a team lead, or a founder.

Radical Candor:
My first management book, and I really like how self-contained it is. It’s almost like a how-to guide to management for people without much prior knowledge. The approach of “care personally+challenge directly” doesn’t seem easy to implement, but if you manage to make it work, it promises a lot.

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion:
I’ve seen this one in an S+ tier reading ranking before, and it definitely lives up to the expectations. It explains some really powerful, practical principles of human psychology, using memorable metaphors and applying them well to money, business, and everyday life. Really good!

Online again!

Dear all,

it’s been a long time since seismic.myftp.biz / seismic.at has gone online. I think it’s over ten years now. Unfortunately, it experienced an unusual long downtime the last 1-2 months. Yesterday, I tried to contact my provider one more time per e-mail and this time, they made the IP public again! I do not know why they made it private in the first place, I can only imagine it was made private automatically after ten years to preserve IP adresses. Anyway, I am just glad that it works again! Enjoy not only the accessing the website once more, but also the Last Dimension Leaderboard!

Kind regards,
Markus

Happy Halloween!

Hope you all had a nice Halloween. I am nearly finished with my degree, and this year, I gave the Packet Assault 2019 Special a little revamp. We are open to feedback and ideas 🙂
